Appreciation post: My bathroom fan vented into the attic for 15 years

I finally climbed up there last week to check a leak and saw the flexible duct just coiled on the insulation. I hooked it up to the roof vent with some foil tape and a $4 clamp. The difference is huge, no more foggy mirrors. Has anyone else found a hidden fix like this in an old house?

My old house had the same exact setup, just a duct sitting in the attic. I read a whole article once about how that can cause mold problems from all the damp air. It's wild how many builders just left them like that. Your fix is such a simple win for the house.
