Just realized my old floor jack was costing me time on every job
Had a 3 ton Pittsburgh from 2015, worked fine but slow. Borrowed a friend's 2 ton aluminum racing jack last weekend for a brake job. The weight difference is huge, maybe 40 pounds lighter. Moving it around my tight garage bay was so much faster. Anyone else switch to a lighter jack and find it worth it?

My old 3 ton steel jack was such a boat anchor. Swapped it for a 1.5 ton aluminum one last year and it cut my setup time in half. The lighter weight makes a huge difference when you're working solo in a cramped space.

Oh man I saw a video about this exact thing! Some guy was saying how aluminum jacks are a total game changer for home garages. Makes me wanna upgrade mine now too.
