Appreciation post: My old drill press manual said to change the belt oil every 50 hours, not 100.
Found the original 1978 manual in a box at my grandpa's place. Has anyone else found a specific maintenance schedule that was way off from what you assumed?

My old truck manual said to change the oil every 3,000 miles. I always figured 5,000 was fine for modern oil. Seeing that schedule in print made me realize they built it to last with stricter care.

Yeah @craig.grant, I read that old school oil changes were key for those high mileage engines.
