Watching a contractor in Austin use a laser level for a backsplash blew my mind
He had the whole grid laid out in under an hour... my old chalk line method feels ancient now. Anyone have a decent laser level they'd recommend under $150?

Oh come on, it's the principle of the thing! A perfect laser line shows you exactly where everything should go. Without it, you're just guessing with a chalk line that smudges. That little red beam turns a messy, frustrating job into something clean and precise. It's not about the tile, it's about having the right tool to do it right.
