Warning: I keep seeing people skip the pressure test on new gas lines
Had a guy in my neighborhood last week try to hook up his stove without one, and it's a huge code violation that inspectors will fail you on every time. How many of you actually do the full soap bubble check for the full 15 minutes?

Just mix dish soap with water and watch for bubbles, it's not hard.

It's funny how people overlook the simple stuff and then act surprised when things go wrong. I see this all the time at work with customers who skip reading instructions and then blame the product. Same with gas leaks or whatever else - everyone thinks they can wing it until they smell something bad. A little patience and following basic steps saves a ton of headache later. People just want shortcuts, but shortcuts don't work with safety stuff. If you take five minutes to do it right, you won't be scrambling later.
