Tried to fix a leaky faucet myself and ended up flooding the kitchen

I watched like 4 YouTube videos and thought I had it down, but when I pulled the old cartridge out water just started spraying everywhere. Took me 45 minutes to find the main shutoff because the valve was stuck. Landlord is gonna charge me $200 for the plumber to come fix what I broke, learned my lesson about certain repairs.
