PSA: That $30 rinse aid refill I scoffed at actually stopped my glasses from spotting

I thought it was just a marketing gimmick for months, but after three cycles with hard water stains on every wine glass, I finally caved. My plates come out crystal clear now, anyone else skip this stuff and regret it?

Wait, did you say $30? I picked up a bottle of the store brand stuff for like 8 bucks and it does the same thing. I was dead set against rinse aid for years, thought it was a total waste. But then my mom brought a bottle over and made me try it on my cloudy glasses, and yeah, it totally fixed the spots. The name brand is just fancy marketing, pretty sure they all use the same chemical anyway. Just grab whatever is cheapest next time, it will save you money and your glasses will still come out perfect.

Store brand is the way to go honestly. I grabbed a bottle of the cheap stuff at Walmart for like 6 bucks and it lasted me over a year. My glasses were all cloudy and had that weird film on them no matter what detergent I used. First wash with the rinse aid and they came out crystal clear. Never looked back, I just refill the same bottle now with the generic stuff.

Man you guys are missing the REAL trick here. White vinegar works just as good and costs pennies. I been using it in my dishwasher for years and my glasses come out spotless every time.
