The bus ramp broke mid-way down and I just sat there frozen
At the transit center downtown last Thursday, the driver tried lowering the ramp and it got stuck halfway, leaving me stranded at the top. Had to wait 20 minutes for another bus while people stared. Has anyone else dealt with equipment failing at the worst moment?

You're telling someone they should have just walked down the steps when the ramp broke. That's nonsense. Mobility issues aren't always visible. Could be a bad knee, back problems, or a hidden condition. Walking down steep bus steps when you're hurt is a fast way to end up on the ground. Plus the driver already started lowering the ramp so people were waiting. Sitting there was the smart move to not fall. Not everyone can just hop off like it's nothing.
