Six weeks with grab bars in the shower and no falls yet

I finally put grab bars in my shower three months ago after my physical therapist kept pushing it. Before that I was holding onto the shampoo shelf and hoping for the best. Now I can actually wash my hair without worrying about slipping. It cost me about $120 for two solid bars and installation. Has anyone else noticed how much easier showering gets with just a little support?

Glad you're having good luck with them. I put mine in three months ago too and it's been a game changer. I used to dread getting in the shower because my floor gets slick, but now I feel way more steady. It's funny how just two metal bars can make you feel so much safer.

Quinn, did you end up doing them yourself or getting help? I paid someone because I'm useless with tools but honestly it was worth every penny. Nothing beats that solid grip when the water is running and you feel totally stable.
