Shoutout to the guy at the Denver airport who let me use his wheelchair ramp

I was stuck at gate B17 in Denver last month after my connecting flight got canceled, and my knee was acting up so bad I could barely hobble to the bathroom. Some older fella parked his wheelchair near the snack kiosk and just waved me over, said 'take the shortcut, buddy, I'm not going anywhere for two hours.' It was a simple folding ramp he kept strapped to his chair, but it made me realize how many little barriers exist in airports that most people never think about. Has anyone else ever had a random stranger offer up their adaptive gear when you were struggling?

That "take the shortcut, buddy" line hits different. My buddy Dave had some random lady at baggage claim let him use her walker because his back went out while he was waiting for his suitcase.

Love that story @richardh44 - I had something similar happen at the grocery store last month. My knee buckled near the dairy aisle and this old guy just handed me his cane without saying a word, just nodded at me and limped over to grab a shopping cart to lean on. People really do come through when you least expect it, don't they? Makes you wanna pay it forward the next time you see someone struggling.
