Best day I've had in months was just sitting in my local library for 3 hours

Oh man right? The library is like the last place on earth where nobody expects you to be productive or interesting or whatever. I swear my phone could be blowing up with drama and I'd just be there staring at a random book about mushroom identification like it's the most fascinating thing ever. It's almost too peaceful though, I start wondering if I'm secretly 80 years old every time I actually enjoy it. But honestly? Better than sitting in a noisy coffee shop pretending to like overpriced lattes while trying to scroll through your phone without making eye contact with anyone. Life goals right there, three hours of library time with zero notifications.

Actually I used to hate the idea of hanging out at libraries for no reason, thought it was boring or a waste of time (you know, being honest here). But then a few months back my internet went out for a whole weekend and I ended up in one just to charge my phone, and I sat there for like two hours just flipping through a book about old maps. It was weirdly peaceful, no notifications, no pressure to be anywhere else. I get it now, sometimes you just need a quiet space where nobody expects anything from you.
