Update: I used to book a full month in one spot, now I never stay more than 10 days.
After getting stuck in a bad apartment in Medellin for four weeks, I realized locking myself in kills the whole point of being able to move. Anyone else find their sweet spot for how long to stay somewhere?

Ten days is my limit too. You start to feel settled without getting stuck. Lets you keep the freedom that makes this lifestyle work.

It also depends on the city for me. A small beach town, ten days is perfect. But a big, spread out place like Mexico City, I need three weeks just to get past the main tourist areas and into the real neighborhoods.
