The time I used a local library's bathroom as a private office in Lisbon

My laptop battery died right before a video call and the cafe wifi was too slow. I walked into the nearest public library, asked for the bathroom key, and set up on the sink counter. The call went fine, though my boss did ask about the echo. Has anyone else had to get creative with workspace in a pinch?

Man, I gotta push back on this one. Lying to your boss or hiding where you're working from is a recipe for disaster. If my employee faked a work location and the call quality gave it away, I'd be way more suspicious about their honesty than if they just told me their internet crashed. Plus, setting up in a bathroom sink is gross - you're risking a spill on your laptop or someone walking in mid-sentence. Just be straight with your manager, they're usually more understanding than people give them credit for.
