My laptop charger died in a small town in Costa Rica with no tech stores nearby.
I was in Puerto Viejo trying to finish a project when my charger sparked and stopped working. I ended up buying a universal charger from a tiny general store and using my power bank to keep working while it charged. Has anyone else had to get creative with a dead charger in a remote spot?

Ever think you need the exact charger? Had a similar thing happen in a small Greek village. My phone charger fried. I used to think only the official one would work. Ended up rigging a charger from a local's old Nokia cable and a USB port on a cafe's TV. It was slow, but it kept my phone alive. Totally changed how I pack my cables now.

Hah, that's some MacGyver-level charging. My phone would probably just give up.

Ever notice how we're all just one dead charger away from going full survivor mode? It's wild how much we rely on these little cords until they fail. Makes you appreciate the weird fixes that actually work.
