Just realized my perfect Bali work day turned into a total nightmare because of one thing

Honestly, last Tuesday in Canggu was going great until the power went out for 8 hours straight. My hotspot died, my laptop battery gave up, and I missed a client deadline because I couldn't even find a cafe with a generator. Ngl, it made me question the whole 'work from paradise' thing when the basic infrastructure isn't there. Has anyone else had a trip ruined by unreliable power in a place that was otherwise perfect?

Guess "basic infrastructure" wasn't on the packing list, huh? Sounds like paradise is great until your laptop starts gasping for air like a fish out of water.

Eight hours without power is crazy for a place that depends on remote workers. Missing a deadline over something like that would stress me out too. Makes you wonder how many other spots have the same hidden problem, right?

Our town had a six hour outage last winter and it was chaos, @sethtorres. I bet a ton of smaller towns have old power lines that can't handle bad weather anymore. It's a huge hidden risk for anyone trying to work from somewhere that isn't a big city. They keep talking about building up these areas for remote workers but don't fix the basic stuff first.
