Just changed my mind about needing a dedicated coworking space after trying to work from a public library in Lisbon for a week.

Honestly, I got more done in the quiet study room there for free than I ever did in the $200/month spot I used in Berlin, and the librarians were super helpful about local SIM cards too, so has anyone found other surprisingly good free workspaces?

But what about reliable wifi and not getting kicked out when you need to take a call?

Totally get that, the quiet in those study rooms is next level lol. I had the same thing happen in a museum cafe in Vienna, their wifi was solid and the tables were huge. Never got bothered once even after like four hours.

Notice how every single "quiet" spot seems to come with a tradeoff. Like libraries have the silence but terrible wifi, and coffee shops have the wifi but you're fighting for outlets (and table space). The museum cafe thing is clever though - nobody thinks to go there, so you get the best of both worlds. It's like we're all searching for these hidden little pockets where the rules of normal public spaces don't apply. Kinda makes you wonder what other spots are out there that nobody's figured out yet.
