Bangkok café work session hijacked by a surprise lion dance

I was on a video call with clients from a café in Bangkok when a loud lion dance parade entered the street. My microphone caught all the drumming and cheering, and the clients asked if I was at a festival. I had to quickly mute and explain the cultural event, which broke my focus. Now I ask about local holidays before setting up in a public space for work.

So much for a quiet coffee shop.

The volume in here is unreal today.

I had the same problem at the Daily Grind last week. I started going right at 2 PM, after the lunch rush clears out. It's been dead quiet every time since. Maybe your local spot has a similar lull, carr.xena. Finding that off-peak hour made all the difference for getting some real work done.
