Am I the one who thinks coworking spaces are a total scam now?
I paid $350 for a month at a spot in Medellin last week and the WiFi went down for 3 hours every afternoon. They said it was "part of the charm" but my client call dropped twice. Am I crazy for thinking we should just hit up local cafes instead?

Was a defender of them until my Zoom call became a slideshow.

Oh man, three hours of dead WiFi every day? That's not "charm" that's a scam. I mean coworking spaces used to be about reliable internet and a quiet place to work, not paying for a "vibe" that doesn't function. But cafes aren't always the answer either - I've been burned trying to take a client call from a spot that's suddenly blasting reggaeton at noon. Medellin specifically has a ton of cafes with fiber internet, but you gotta check their speed on fast.com first and make sure they don't mind you camping there for a few hours. $350 for that kind of headache is nuts though, you definitely got ripped off.
