Tried a different way to clean a stuck EGR valve on a 6.7 Powerstroke

I used a mix of brake cleaner and a soft brass brush after the usual soak didn't work, and it actually came out way cleaner than I expected. I mean, I thought for sure I was gonna have to pull the whole cooler, but it freed up and passed the vacuum test. Anyone have a go-to method for really stubborn carbon on these, or was I just lucky this time?

Ever try a straight razor blade for the really baked-on stuff?

Yep, works great on glass cooktops.

Honestly feels like a recipe for disaster lol. Like how baked on are we talking here? A razor blade on glass just sounds like you're asking for a nasty scratch. There's gotta be a better way without going full surgery on your stove.
