Blew $450 on a 'rebuilt' injector pump that was junk from day one

I ordered a remanufactured injector pump for my 12-valve Cummins off eBay from some shop in Texas, figured it would save me a few hundred bucks. Got it bolted on, bled the lines, and it started right up... but then it started surging like crazy at idle. Took me three weekends chasing air in the lines, checking timing, and pulling my hair out before I finally sent it back. They tested it and said it was fine, but when I got it back it still did the same thing. That's when I bit the bullet and bought a factory Bosch unit from a local diesel shop for $900, and it ran perfect first try. So I wasted $450 on shipping and labor for nothing, plus the downtime on my truck. Anyone else get burned by cheap reman parts off the internet?

That $450 eBay pump probably had a warranty you could have used if you'd called them first.

Call eBay first, Iris, they'll often step in if a seller ghosts you on a warranty.
