Used to buy lunch every shift. Now I bring a thermos.

Was dropping $12 a day on sandwiches and soda at the deli near my job in Newark. That was $60 a week, gone. Started making soup at home in a $8 thermos from Target, been doing it for 6 months now and my debt payments actually feel doable. Anyone else cut out daily food costs and see a real difference?

$12 a day on sandwiches and soda is ridiculous, that's on you for ever paying that in the first place. Those deli places in Newark know they can gouge people who are too lazy to pack something. Six months of soup sounds boring as hell but I guess if it's actually making your debt payments feel doable then good for you. Still, acting like this is some huge life changing revelation is a bit much. You could have just bought a loaf of bread and some turkey for half that and made sandwiches. The thermos thing is fine but don't act like you cracked the code on personal finance.

Yep, pretty much. It's soup in a thermos, not a TED Talk.
