That $30 budgeting notebook I bought 3 years ago is still empty
Picked it up at a Target in Denver back in 2021 with big plans to track every penny. It's sitting on my nightstand with the first page half filled out and a coffee stain. Anyone else collect budgeting tools they never actually use?

Wait did you see that study that came out about how most people who buy budgeting tools never actually stick with them longer than like 2 weeks? That notebook is living proof haha. Mine's got a nice layer of dust on it too.

That notebook is basically a museum piece at this point. I bought a similar one from a bookstore downtown and it's still in the plastic wrap. The idea of tracking every dollar sounds great until you actually have to write down that you spent four bucks on coffee. Mine's been sitting there long enough that the cover is starting to fade from the sun coming in the window.
