Found out my minimum payment on a $9,000 card at 26% interest would take me 28 years to pay off if I never used it again.
Saw that number in a payoff calculator on NerdWallet and it literally made me stop eating for a minute, has anyone else had that sick feeling when you do the math on what the bank is really charging you?

Wait, did you also briefly consider just hiding the card under the bed?

Gotta say @jakef66 I don't get the hiding thing at all. Honestly that feels like a quick way to forget about it for a year and then find it when you move out. Ngl I tried that once with a gift card and it turned into this whole stressful search every few months. Tbh the instant gratification of just using it right away is way better than dealing with the anxiety of where it might be. Plus if you hide it you gotta remember where you put it which is basically impossible for me. Just rip the bandaid off and spend it dude.

Wait @jakef66 you actually hid it under the bed? Thats the spot my cat finds everything I lose. Bro you're braver than me I'd be checking under there every night out of pure paranoia.
