Rant: I finally asked my manager in Phoenix for a raise after 3 years of the same pay.
He offered me a 25 cent hourly increase and a 'new' title that's just my old duties with extra spreadsheets. Anyone else get a 'promotion' that's actually just more work for basically nothing?

Wow, that's not a promotion, it's a pay cut when you factor in inflation. They're betting you won't leave over a quarter. Time to polish that resume, seriously.

My last company offered a 3% raise when inflation was over 7%. I quietly updated my LinkedIn and had a new job paying 20% more within six weeks. Why stay where they show you exactly what you're worth to them? David is right, a real pay cut is a clear sign to look around.

Oh man, that's brutal. A quarter after three years? I'd be insulted too. That extra spreadsheet nonsense is just them trying to dress up the same old job with a fancier title so you feel like you got something. It's such a slap in the face when they think a tiny bump and some paperwork will make up for years of sticking around. You're worth more than that, and the fact they're betting you'll just take it says everything about them. Really sorry you're dealing with that, it's the worst feeling when your loyalty isn't matched.
