I turned down a supervisor spot at the post office for a coding bootcamp
My manager offered me the route supervisor job in the Eastwood branch last month, which would have been a $5,000 raise. I was all set to take it for the extra cash, but my friend Jake who did a 12-week web dev course showed me his first paycheck, and it was double my current take-home. I signed up for the bootcamp instead, and now I'm three weeks in and already building a simple website. Has anyone else made a big career switch from a stable but boring job like this?

Yeah, I left a pretty steady admin job at the university for a data analytics course. The first few weeks were tough, just staring at spreadsheets and SQL queries, but sticking to a strict study schedule after work was what got me through. That first project where the data actually made sense felt amazing. How are you finding the bootcamp pace?
