Hit a wall after 7 years at the same warehouse last Tuesday
I was standing in the break room staring at the same burnt coffee pot I've been looking at since 2017. Some new kid asked me how to clock out and I realized I could do my entire shift in my sleep. No challenge left, no raises in 4 years, just the same boxes on the same trucks day after day. Last month I finally sat down and added up all the overtime hours I've pulled. Worked 300 extra hours last year for maybe 2 grand after taxes. That math hit me harder than the warehouse floor ever did. Has anyone here actually figured out how to jump ship when you've been somewhere so long it feels like the only option?

Go talk to HR about the OT math you did.
