Switched from fabric softener to vinegar for my towels last month
I used to think fabric softener was a must for fluffy towels, but after three washes my towels felt greasy and stopped drying me off. Then my sister told me to try white vinegar in the rinse cycle, and now my towels are actually absorbent again. Has anyone else made this swap and noticed a big difference in towel texture?

Wait, hold up. "Felt greasy" after three washes? That's wild. I actually had to read that twice because I thought you were joking. I've been using fabric softener my whole life and never once had towels feel greasy, more like they just stopped working after a while. But the vinegar thing is real for sure. I switched like six months ago when I noticed my towels were basically just pushing water around instead of soaking it up. Now they actually dry me off and don't smell like a wet dog after two uses. The vinegar smell goes away completely once they're dry too, which I was worried about at first.
