Hit 100k words on my novel draft last night and I'm honestly shook

I set a goal of 50k words for nanowrimo but somehow ended up at 100k by december 3rd. Did anyone else blow past their milestone way harder than expected, and did it make you question your original plan or just roll with it?

Man, that's a hell of a thing to pull off, congrats. Rolling with it sounds like the move since the story clearly had more to say.

Three months ago I told myself I wouldn't get invested in another long fic. Now I'm here at 2am reading this for the fifth time. Guess the story wanted to tell itself whether we liked it or not. At least now I have an excuse for why my sleep schedule is completely wrecked. You really let the plot take over and run wild like a toddler with the car keys. Honestly that's the only way anything good ever gets written.
