Compare my old blender to a Vitamix and it is not even close

I used a $30 Oster for 4 years and thought smoothies were supposed to be chunky. Then I borrowed my sister's Vitamix for a week and the difference blew my mind. Kale stems turned into liquid in 30 seconds flat. Has anyone else dealt with that sticker shock for a blender and felt it was worth it?

You ever actually break down the cost per use though? That's the real trick. I paid $400 for mine three years ago and it's still running like new. My old $30 blender died every 18 months like clockwork. So I'm actually spending less in the long run. Plus it pulverizes frozen fruit and ice no problem. No more gritty smoothies or weird chunks floating around. Just buy a refurbished one if the price hurts. Saves you like a hundred bucks and they're basically new.

Spend $400 on a blender and I'm calling that poor math.
