Remember when coupons came in the Sunday paper? I miss that.

I was standing in a Target aisle in Chicago last Tuesday trying to scan a digital coupon on my phone and the app kept crashing. Missed out on $12 off a big pack of diapers because the stupid thing wouldn't load. Anyone else feel like the whole coupon game got way more complicated than it used to be?

$12 off a pack of diapers and the app crashed? I would have LOST it right there in the aisle." That's AWFUL. I still clip paper coupons from the grocery store flyers that get jammed in my mailbox because I can't deal with the digital nonsense. The last time I tried to use a store app for a deal on laundry detergent I spent 15 minutes in the checkout line arguing with the cashier about why the barcode wouldn't scan.

Man I feel you. Last week I spent a solid 20 minutes in the Home Depot parking lot trying to scan a QR code on a toilet for a rebate. The app kept spinning and then said something about a network error. I finally just tossed my phone on the passenger seat and drove home. My wife asked if I got the toilet and I said nope, too many steps. I ended up going back the next day and paying full price just to avoid the hassle. That digital coupon stuff is like a second job nobody asked for.
