Just realized my coupon stacking was all wrong after a cashier pointed it out

I was at Target last Tuesday trying to use a 15% off app coupon with a $5 store coupon and the cashier told me the store coupon applied first, making the app one way lower... Turns out I had been leaving money on the table for months. Has anyone else caught a mistake like this from a random comment?

Ugh right! A cashier at CVS told me I was using my coupons backwards too. Felt so dumb lol.

Yeah those cashiers can be so judgmental about it! Like we're all supposed to just magically know the right way to clip and hand over coupons. It's not like there's a manual for that stuff.
