Bought a $12 'industrial grade' glue gun off Amazon and it melted through my workbench in 4 minutes flat.

Was gonna return it but the seller offered me a refund if I changed my review to 5 stars, has anyone else dealt with that shady tactic?

That "industrial grade" label seriously means NOTHING these days. I had one show up looking like it was factory seconds with a sticker slapped on it. And yeah, I've had sellers offer refunds for a five star review a few times now. It's basically bribery but Amazon does NOTHING about it.

I heard somewhere that these "industrial grade" sellers are basically just printing labels in their basement and calling it a day. Like, there's no actual standard for what counts as industrial grade, it's not regulated or anything. And the whole refund for a review thing is wild, I remember reading about some guy who tried to report it and Amazon just auto-replied with some generic copy paste response. It's basically the wild west out there, you gotta look at the seller's history and reviews more than the product itself these days.
