Almost got screwed by a fake Prime Day deal flash sale
I was browsing Amazon around 2am last Tuesday and saw a 55" TV marked down to $180. Jumped on it without checking the seller name because I was too excited. Turns out it was a third party shop that opened 3 days ago with zero reviews. I caught it 10 minutes later when I went to check my order and saw the red flags. Canceled immediately but I bet a lot of people didn't notice in time. Has anyone else nearly gotten burned by these scam flash sales popping up during big shopping events?

You asked for it, you got it. Couldn't find a better deal?

Dang, that's a close one! I almost got hooked by one of those too last Cyber Monday - it was a "Keurig for $25" that turned out to be from a shop named "BargainBlast2023" which had literally zero history. But here's the trick I've learned: always check the seller's join date and feedback percentage before you click buy, even if the deal looks insane. If it's a third party seller with less than 98% positive feedback or under six months old, I skip it. @the_sandra I wouldn't say anyone "asked for it" though, because these scammers are getting slicker every year. Did you check if your bank has purchase protection for situations like this?
