Tried using a password manager for 3 weeks and somehow got locked out of my own account

I signed up for Bitwarden after hearing everyone rave about it. Set a strong master password, wrote it down on a sticky note just in case. Then last Tuesday I went to log in and my brain just blanked on the password. Tried 5 different variations before getting locked out. Had to reset everything and now I'm back to using the same password for 10 different sites. How do you guys actually remember your master password without keeping it somewhere obvious?

Funny how we all have that one "universal" password we drag across every site like it's no big deal. Kinda sums up how lazy we all got about security once the internet took over everything.
