Rant: I just read a report that 60% of small businesses that get hit with ransomware go under within six months.
Found that stat in a PDF from the local chamber of commerce's cybersecurity webinar, and it makes me wonder how many shops around here are just one bad click away from closing for good.

Ever notice how many places still use the same password for everything? That stat makes sense when you see the shaky tech setups out there. It's like watching a slow motion car crash.

Yeah, that slow motion car crash feeling is too real. I got tired of remembering a hundred passwords, so I just got a password manager last year. Now I have one crazy strong master password and it makes everything else unique. It auto fills on my phone and laptop, so it's actually easier than reusing the same one. Took a weekend to set up but it was worth the peace of mind.
