Finally convinced my parents to stop reusing the same password everywhere

They had been using a variation of their dog's name for their bank, email, and even their Wi-Fi for years. I showed them how a breach at one site could unlock everything else using a free password manager. Anyone have tips for explaining 2FA to someone who barely uses their phone?

Trying to explain 2FA to my mom nearly broke my brain.

Oh man, I feel that. My mom still writes her passwords down on a sticky note, @reeseb73.

My 72 year old dad nearly threw his phone across the room when I told him he needed to look at his phone to get a code to then type into his computer. I told him it was like a secret handshake for his accounts and he just stared at me like I was speaking alien. Now I just preauthorize everything for him and hope for the best.
