Coworker told me to use a password manager, I ignored him for a year

Got hit with a phishing email that looked exactly like my bank's login page and almost typed my password in. My coworker Dave was right, I should have started using Bitwarden way sooner. Anyone else put off password managers and regret it?

Got hit with a phishing email" - man that's a rough way to learn the lesson lol. I put off using one for years too because I figured I was smart enough to spot scams. Then I almost fell for a fake Amazon password reset that looked dead on. Now I use Bitwarden and it's a total no-brainer. Just set it up once and forget about it.

Wait you ALMOST fell for it? Dude that's terrifying. I thought I was invincible too until I clicked on a "your package is delayed" link that looked exactly like the real UPS site.

and that's the thing, right? It's not even just about passwords anymore. I feel like we're all getting tricked in so many different ways now, from fake delivery texts to those "your account has been compromised" calls that sound so real. We just assume we're too smart to fall for it, but these scammers are getting really good at mimicking stuff we see every day. It's like the whole world is designed to trip us up, and we're all just one distracted moment away from typing our info into the wrong box. I swear I catch myself almost clicking on something suspicious at least once a week now, and I used to think I was pretty sharp about it. The password manager just takes one more thing off your plate, so you can focus on not getting fooled by everything else.
