Can we talk about how long it took me to spot a phishing email?
I got a fake invoice that looked real from a vendor we use, and it took me 45 minutes of checking headers and calling the actual company to be sure. What's your best trick for spotting a fake fast?

Check the sender's actual email address, not just the display name. The "from" field is almost always messed up on a good fake. That quick glance saves you the deep dive.

Man, that's such a solid tip. I got one last week that looked exactly like it was from my bank, but the actual email was a random string of letters. It's scary how convincing they make the display name look. Makes you wonder how many people just click without checking.
