Appreciation post: my buddy the IT guy at the station house

He showed me his password manager setup after I complained about reusing the same 3 passwords for everything, and I spent 2 hours last night moving all my accounts over, feels like a real win honestly anyone else have a coworker who made you feel dumb in a good way?

Man, that's awesome! I had a buddy who was a sysadmin at an old job, and he set me up with a password manager too after I got locked out of my email for the third time. He showed me how to generate crazy random passwords and store them all in one place, and honestly it felt like getting my brain upgraded. Took me a whole weekend to migrate everything, but now I don't have to remember 37 different logins anymore. Honestly that's nothing compared to the three weeks I spent trying to convince my grandma that "password123" wasn't cutting it anymore. Ngl though, having that IT friend is like having a personal wizard who knows all the magic tricks. Tbh I'm still bitter my IT buddy made me reset 50 passwords in one sitting because I kept using "ilovepizza" for everything.
