Warning: those "credit repair" services are just reading your credit report back to you

I see people on here all the time recommending credit repair companies that charge $100 a month. I paid one $500 over 4 months and all they did was dispute old addresses and a medical bill that was already mine. I couldve done that myself in 2 hours on the CFPB site. Did anyone else get burned by one of these companies?

My buddy paid one $300 and all they did was mail him a copy of his credit report he already had.

Wait he paid them to mail him his own report? No way.
