Rant: I used to think my 620 credit score was just stuck there forever.

My score finally started climbing after I focused on paying down the card I was closest to the limit on, even though it wasn't the one with the highest interest rate, which felt totally backwards at the time.

Oh man, same! I got my biggest jump when I finally got my oldest card paid off completely. It felt weird ignoring the high interest one, but it totally worked.

Which card did you pay off first, the one with the highest balance or just the oldest one? I'm always curious how people pick their target when they use that method.

Nah, I always hit the highest interest first. Paying off debt is about math, not feelings.
