Paid $200 for a credit repair company and got nowhere

I signed up with CreditRepair.com back in June and paid them $99 a month for two months. All they did was send dispute letters I could have written myself. Has anyone else found these services to be a total waste of money?

Saw a YouTube lawyer say these companies just cash grab with form letters.

Wait @blair_lewis85 what did you just say? Those YouTube lawyers are totally off base if they think its just form letters. I actually got a cease and desist from a big media company once and it was like 12 pages of specific demands, not some copy paste job. They had screenshots of my old tweets and everything, it was crazy detailed. Someone put real work into that thing, you can tell by how they listed every single violation. These companies hire actual lawyers who bill by the hour, theyre not messing around with templates. So no way is it just a cash grab when they could lose their license for sending fake legal threats.

Tbh you're right, I've got a filing cabinet full of those detailed demands myself so I know the difference.
