My credit score went up 48 points after I did one boring thing

I paid off a medical bill from 2019 that I forgot about. It was $212 total and sat in collections for like 3 years. I checked my score in March right before I paid it and it was 611. Checked again last week and it jumped to 659. The collections dropped off my report like a month after I paid it. Has anyone else seen that big of a jump from just one small bill?

That 48 point jump is way bigger than what most people get from a $212 bill.

Must be nice @phoenixb66, guess some people get lucky and the rest of us get stuck with a 2 point bump and a "better luck next time" from the universe.
