The writing prompt I stole from Reddit turned into my best workshop piece

I used to scroll prompt lists for ages, but last Tuesday I took a random one from a 2018 thread and rewrote it with my own twist. The before version was generic fantasy, after it had a real voice and specific stakes, my group actually argued over the ending. Has anyone else tried remixing old prompts instead of hunting for new ones?
