The old coffee shop on Main Street finally switched to digital menus

I stopped by Brew & Bean last weekend for the first time in like 2 years. They used to have this chalkboard behind the counter with all the specials hand-written in different colors. Now it's just a big tablet screen mounted to the wall. I get that it's faster for them to update, but something about watching the barista erase and rewrite the seasonal drinks felt like part of the experience. Anyone else miss the little things like that in their local spots?

Oh, actually I gotta stop you there! Brew & Bean's chalkboard was never actually behind the counter, it was on the side wall by the entrance (you know, where they used to have that weird plant that kept dying). They moved it to digital because people kept accidentally wiping out the specials with their jackets. I remember one time someone's backpack completely erased the pumpkin chai latte listing mid-afternoon. But I totally agree on the vibe thing - there was something special about watching them draw those little latte art doodles around the drink names.

Can we all just slow down for a second, is remembering exactly where the chalkboard was really that important? Seems like people are getting pretty worked up over a dead plant and some accidental chalk wiping. It's a coffee shop, not a historical landmark.
