My story prompt notebook decided to write its own ending, literally.
Last Thursday, I was trying to get a new idea down in my writing notebook, a cheap spiral thing from the dollar store. I wrote the prompt 'A librarian finds a book that grants wishes, but only for fictional characters.' Then my pen, a basic blue ballpoint, just gave out. Not a big deal, I thought, and reached for another. That one was dry too. The third one just made a sad scratch on the page. All three died at the exact same moment, right on that line. I had to laugh because it felt like the universe itself was rejecting my idea, or maybe the fictional characters didn't want to be wished for. I ended up typing the prompt into my phone notes instead, feeling oddly judged by my own office supplies. Has a weird coincidence like that ever killed the vibe for a writing session for you?

My old laptop once bluescreened the second I typed 'the AI became self-aware'. Switched to pen and paper for a week after that.

That's a wild coincidence, man. Did you ever try typing that same phrase again later? I'd be too freaked out to test it.

Ever wonder if our own paranoia writes these glitches into the story? My phone once autocorrected "good morning" to "the end is near," and I almost threw it in a drawer for good. Guess we're all a little jumpy around our own tech.
