Just noticed my writing process changed after moving to Seattle

I used to plan every story detail in a notebook before writing a single word. After a rainy winter here, I switched to just writing a rough idea and seeing where it goes. The change happened about two years ago when I felt stuck on a fantasy novel outline. Has anyone else gone from heavy outlining to more discovery writing?

Hey, that's exactly how I switched too! Maybe the rain just makes you want to write without a map, you know?
