A stranger's exact words about my prompt fixed my writing slump

I was at a coffee shop downtown last Thursday, staring at a blank page for like the 45th time that week. A barista noticed me grumbling and said, "Your characters probably just need to want something small." That tiny nudge hit me harder than any writing guide I've read in the past 2 years. I rewrote my whole scene around a character wanting a specific brand of lemonade, and suddenly the plot clicked into place. Has anyone else gotten a random comment from someone outside the writing world that solved a problem? What did they say and where were you when it happened?

Your characters probably just need to want something small" is some zen master level stuff from a barista who probably just wanted to hand me a muffin. I mean, my last slump got fixed by a guy at the DMV telling me my plot hole was like a missing sock, you just gotta accept it's gone and move on. He was dead serious, and honestly it worked, I deleted the whole subplot and never looked back. Maybe we're all just one random dude's offhand comment away from finishing our drafts, which is both inspiring and sort of sad for all those expensive writing courses I bought. Also, now I really want lemonade, so thanks for that.
