A funny thing at the grocery store gave me a prompt idea
I was picking out tomatoes yesterday when I heard two kids debating if ketchup is a smoothie. It got me thinking about a writing prompt where a character has to defend a weird food opinion in court. I started drafting a scene about a food critic on trial for calling cereal soup. Has anyone else gotten prompt ideas from silly food talks? I find grocery stores are full of random conversations that spark stories. What's the best food-related prompt you've come up with?

Grocery store aisles are basically free writing workshops if you pay attention.

Honestly, I just see a bunch of people blocking the aisle. It's more like a study in human frustration than a creative spark. My only takeaway is a strong need to get out of there faster.
