Remember when you could actually walk into a local bank branch and talk CRE?

I was in downtown Boise last week and saw the old First National building is now a boutique hotel. Used to be the spot for a handshake deal over a coffee. Makes you wonder, with everything online now, are we losing that face-to-face trust that used to fund so many projects? What's your take on building lender relationships these days?

Honestly, I'm so bad at small talk I'd probably kill a deal over that coffee. But yeah, you have to force those in-person meetings now, it doesn't just happen.
